Acid Stain Pool Deck in La Mesa

When Project Manager Scott Tischler inspected this back yard oasis he soon discovered that there were two different concrete slab's poured next to each other.  The customer wanted all areas to blend together.  Scott's crew had to adjust the amount of color and do some detailed blending to make a more uniform look. They used Acid Stain in Bronze and then sealed all areas with SC-42 Water-Based Acrylic Sealer to achieve this look and just in time for the upcoming pool season. Social Life Pizza

Social Life Pizza with Fast Stain
Social Life Pizza
Size:  1,180 Sq. Ft.
Installation:  Westcoat TC-29, SC-36 Fast Stain, SC-66 Water-Based Satin Polyurethane Sealer

Social Life Pizza, a fast-casual Neapolitan-style pizza restaurant in the College area needed a hardy floor that could stand up to frequent foot traffic but was also decorative. To determine the best options, the Life Deck team mocked up several samples with color and texture variations to ensure Social Life founder and restaurant vet, Joseph DeSantis, got what he wanted. Life Deck’s Grind/Stain/Seal system was the preferred choice.

To begin, the existing concrete was diamond grinded with a 780 grinder and profiled with 34/40 diamond plugs to remove the old coating. Cracks were patched with Westcoat TC-29 and then profiled with 60/80 plugs. Following prep, Westcoat Fast Stain was applied in brown to warm up the dining area. Two coats of Westcoat EC-11 Water-Based Epoxy and one coat of SC-66 Water-Based Satin Polyurethane Sealer were applied for long-lasting durability.

Floors are now decorative and easy to maintain.

Benchmark Brewery

Benchmark Brewing Co is another great up and coming San Diego brewery and they called us to stain the existing interior concrete. Our crew installed our Fast Stain Grind and Seal system in the tasting room and Temper-Crete Urethane Cement in the brewing area. If you are thinking of staining your concrete and can't decide on which stain to go with, check out the floors at Benchmark the next time you stop in for a pint!

Before and After - A flooded house!

The home you see below was flooded by a broken pipe and the entire first level flooring was damaged, including the tile, carpet and laminate in every room.  The insurance company called us in for an estimate and project manager Jeff Marshall saw the extent of the damage.  Luckily the concrete slab was still intact and and the customer was interested in something durable as well as bright and modern.  After pulling up all the damaged flooring, the existing surface was prepped then troweled smooth and Acid Stain was applied in Canyon on the entire first level of the home, including the living room, family room, kitchen and dining area, playroom, and office.  A perfect example of how you can update your home with a beautiful concrete stain.

Then and Now: Acid Stain on a Restaurant Floor

Below is an Acid Stain job we did in Little Italy back in 2010.  The restaurant, then known as Vincenzo, is now Napizza an organic pizza restaurant.  Stop by and see for yourself how well this system has held up over the years.

Elbow Room ... unique bar and floor

The Elbow Room is a new bar in San Diego and was in need of a durable floor treatment and a fresh look for their bar tops.  Project manager Todd Seaboch and crew applied Fast Stain to the existing concrete floor. The owner of the bar wanted something unique for the bar tops and Todd knew that our latest process, Dazzle Effects, was the way to go.
